We had a date night Thursday to see the highly anticipated (at least by us) Amsterdam. I gave a nod to the experience in a footnote of today’s newsletter:
“If you have not already given up your hard-earned money on this trainwreck, I beg you: do not. The plot was convoluted, and the actors seemed to have only gotten the script the morning before shooting their scenes. We walked out after suffering an hour of the mess, and that’s saying a lot since we have sat through some really terrible movies like You Don’t Mess with the Zohan and To Rome with Love.”
I think trainwreck is a good one word review for AMSTERDAM. Sorry to hear that you wasted your time and money with this messy movie. Studios spend hundreds of millions of dollars to make and promote these trainwreck movies and then wonder why less and less people are going to the theaters.
HA! You got me on this one. I know what “Gilligan’s Island” is but I never actually watched. But hey, they are trapped on an island in the third act. So maybe it is fair to say that the film is a art-house reboot of “Gilligan’s Island” LOL

So, Triangle of Sadness is “Gilligan’s Island”, but the Howell’s aren’t kinda funny?
